Softball Recap: Eight Straight Home Victories for Ingleside

Ingleside waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Victoria West Warriors.

Ingleside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Murua, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Another was Ruby Eppard, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Ingleside's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Victoria West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ingleside will venture away from home to face off against Jones at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Victoria West, they will head out to square off against Terry at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rangers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.25 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
