Volleyball Recap: Lake Cormorant Find Success

Lake Cormorant won the last time they faced DeSoto Central and things went their way on Tuesday too. Lake Cormorant came out on top against DeSoto Central by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lake Cormorant.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-23, 21-25, 25-19.

Lake Cormorant found their leader in sophomore Kayla Gonzalez, who had seven digs and two aces. Gonzalez also set a new season-high mark in assists with 16.

Lake Cormorant was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Lake Cormorant's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for DeSoto Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 4-2.
