Baseball Recap: Lynbrook Takes a Loss

Lynbrook extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 7-20 in the process. They fell 5-2 to the More Knights. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 6-1.

Cameron Chao made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.

As for More, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games.

On More's side, Vinny Selway spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Zep Cortese, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double. Andrew Corr was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

As of now, neither Lynbrook nor More have any future games scheduled.
