Football Game Preview: Suffern Mounties vs. North Rockland Raiders

The Suffern Mounties are taking a road trip to take on the North Rockland Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Suffern is looking for their season's first win.

On Friday, Suffern came up short against Arlington and fell 28-16. While the Mounties had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Admirals 16-7.

Meanwhile, North Rockland also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to John Jay by a score of 20-7. The matchup marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Suffern's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for North Rockland, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Suffern was dealt a bruising 29-0 loss at the hands of North Rockland in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Mounties, Jaquan Johnson (who rushed for 201 yards and three scores on only 13 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
