After flying high against Linton-Stockton on Wednesday, Barr-Reeve came back down to earth. Barr-Reeve fell just short of North Posey by a score of 4-3 on Friday. Barr-Reeve's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Barr-Reeve's defeat dropped their record down to 14-2. As for North Posey, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barr-Reeve will venture away from home to take on Wood Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for North Posey, they will challenge Jasper at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
