Corona had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Heritage Patriots 78-46 on Monday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Heritage's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kendall Sampson, who posted 15 points and six boards. Diego Mekonsto was another key player, putting up six points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Corona will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Valley View at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Heritage, they will host San Jacinto at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
