Basketball Recap: Tampa Bay Tech Comes Up Short

Tampa Bay Tech suffered their biggest defeat since January 30, 2024 on Wednesday. They were outmatched by the Steinbrenner Warriors and fell 62-20. The matchup marked the Titans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Shanyah Martin was Tampa Bay Tech's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Kamiyah Brown held things down on the boards with four rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Steinbrenner to victory, but perhaps none more so than Samantha Coble, who posted 13 points along with five boards and four steals. That's the most rebounds Coble has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Breanna Hartley, who made all 5 shots she took racking up 10 points.

Tampa Bay Tech moved to 11-8 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak. As for Steinbrenner, they pushed their record up to 20-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tampa Bay Tech will head out to face off against Victory Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Victory Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season. As for Steinbrenner, they are taking a road trip to challenge Spoto at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Steinbrenner is facing Spoto at the right time seeing as Spoto is stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
