Basketball Recap: Sierra Lutheran Takes a Loss

Sierra Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. 2025 welcomed they with a 36-12 loss courtesy of the Battle Mountain Longhorns. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Longhorns apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Sierra Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Battle Mountain, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Sierra Lutheran has already played their next contest, a 47-25 defeat against West Wendover on the 3rd. As for Battle Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-18 victory against Silver Stage on the 3rd.
