You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Thompson Valley's strategy against Wellington on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Thompson Valley blew Wellington out of the water with a 67-40 final score. Thompson Valley pushed the score to 50-28 by the end of the third, a deficit Wellington had little chance of recovering from.

Thompson Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Barker, who shot 57% from the field en route to 18 points and four steals. Those 18 points gave Barker a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Gutierrez, who posted 12 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Thompson Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wellington only racked up seven.

Wellington's loss came despite strong showings from Luke Moore and Casey Mesko. Moore almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Mesko had nine points and eight boards. Moore is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 47% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Dawson Waldo was another key player, putting up five points and five rebounds.

Thompson Valley has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 70.0 points this season. As for Wellington, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Thompson Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-42 loss against Lewis-Palmer on the 11th. As for Wellington, they have also already played their next contest, a 44-39 victory against Skyview on the 11th.
