Woodland won the last time they faced Hockinson and things went their way on Friday too. The Beavers blew past the Hawks 15-4. Considering the Beavers have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Gracelynn Huffman was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off ten hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Woodland let Lillia Andrews and Lexi Manalili run wild. Andrews went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run, while Manalili went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Those three hits gave Andrews a new career-high. Ainsleigh Utter was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

Woodland hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
