Softball Recap: Sheffield Comes Up Short

Sheffield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 44th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-4 to the Shoals Christian Flame. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Flame this season, with their most recent defeat being a 20-4 loss on Tuesday.

Taniah McCroskey was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Sheffield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-24. As for Shoals Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-15.

Looking ahead, Sheffield will head out on the road to face off against Cherokee at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shoals Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Covenant Christian at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Flame are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
