Softball Recap: Almond-Bancroft Snags Ninth Victory in Last Ten Games

Almond-Bancroft put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Thursday. They never let the Wild Rose Wildcats get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 11 matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Riya Ceballos made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Ceballos was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI and one triple.

In other batting news, Mya Dernbach was a standout: she went 1-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Tia Dernbach was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs and one double.

Almond-Bancroft is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.
