Softball Game Preview: Concord-Carlisle Patriots vs. St. Paul Knights

The Concord-Carlisle Patriots will head out on the road to square off against the St. Paul Knights at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.

Concord-Carlisle managed to slip by Westford Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Patriots lost 9-2 to the Grey Ghosts on Monday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since June 3, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Meanwhile, St. Paul waltzed into their matchup on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Blue Devils 7-1. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

St. Paul's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Concord-Carlisle, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
