Baseball Game Preview: Bloomingdale Bulls vs. Alonso Ravens

The Bloomingdale Bulls are headed away from home for the first time to square off against the Alonso Ravens at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Bloomingdale is leaving town to face Alonso after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Bloomingdale lost 6-0 to Jefferson on Tuesday.

Bloomingdale got a good showing from Javier Navas-Hoyer, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The dominant performance also gave Navas-Hoyer a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

Meanwhile, Alonso had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Armwood on Tuesday as Alonso made off with a 7-1 victory.

Julian Batista tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

On the hitting side, Raymond Llanes was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Brautigam, who went a perfect1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

Bloomingdale beat Alonso 11-7 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Does Bloomingdale have another victory up their sleeve, or will Alonso turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
