Baseball Recap: Hemphill Comes Up Short

Hemphill was the 10-1 winner over Brookeland when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Hornets fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 5-4 on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Hornets have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Hemphill and nudges their season record down to 11-14. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Brookeland, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2.

As of now, neither Hemphill nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
