The Chicopee Pacers will venture away from home to challenge the Northampton Blue Devils at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Chicopee is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Chicopee is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Ware get on the board and left with a 23-0 win on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Pacers with their most commanding win of the season.

Raelyn Loud made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Chicopee got a massive performance out of Adeline Olbrych, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Hannalys Ingles also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Chicopee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Northampton's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Easthampton/Hampshire on Wednesday. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over Monson. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Blue Devils considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Like Chicopee, Northampton also got a great game from a two-way player: Greta Lepore. She struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). Lepore was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Avery Hicks was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Talia Garretson, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Chicopee's record is now 8-0. As for Northampton, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 6-3.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Chicopee has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .519. However, it's not like Northampton struggles in that department as they've averaged .481. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Chicopee's way against Northampton in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, as Chicopee made off with a 12-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pacers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
