Ravenna scaled the state rankings by moving to 430 from 461 this week, the biggest jump in Portage Trail - Metro. The Ravens climbed the ranks as a result of falling to Roosevelt 28-14.

Norton extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Coventry, 48-40. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.

Dustin Monaco provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Rough Riders bested Ravenna. He completed 12 passes for 101 yards and also ran for 55 yards. Monaco's key target this week was Corey Spicer, who caught 4 passes for 46 yards.

Corey Simpson was the best wideout in the league this week as Field bested Springfield. Simpson tallied 3 receptions for 129 yards.

5-foot-10 quarterback Preston Semler of the Falcons is the league leader in passing yards this season with 645. He has also thrown 3 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Zach Lake. The Coventry star has 15 catches for 244 yards.

A big matchup in Portage Trail - Metro this week will be when Roosevelt takes on the Spartans. John Nemec's team is currently in first, while Springfield is in fifth.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Rough Riders take on Kevin Vaughn's team. Roosevelt has allowed 78 points this season, while the Spartans have given up 117. The Rough Riders allowed 14 points last week as they topped Jim Lunardi's team.

Norton led the league in scoring this week after putting up 48 points on the Comets.
