Basketball Recap: San Elizario Comes Up Short

San Elizario lost against Chapin back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The San Elizario Eagles had to suffer through a 68-19 loss at the hands of the Chapin Huskies. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Chapin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jasmine Blake out in front who went 5 for 11 on her way to 13 points. Blake is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Daisy Urenda was another key player, putting up four points along with ten assists and five boards.

With the loss, San Elizario broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6. As for Chapin, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

San Elizario will try to stop Burges' five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Chapin will try to stop Riverside's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
