Baseball Recap: Notasulga Comes Up Short

Notasulga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-6 to the Lanett Panthers. On the bright side, the six- run performance marked the Blue Devils' highest-scoring game to date.

Tristen Hooks made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. Those runs were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Theus Fountain, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Notasulga's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lanett, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Notasulga will square off against Bullock County at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lanett, they will head out to challenge Loachapoka at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
