Basketball Recap: Prentice Starts off Right with Win over Spencer

Prentice took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They took down the Spencer Rockets 54-40. For the Buccaneers, this counts as revenge for the 49-43 win the Rockets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Prentice was led to victory by Leah Lord and Kayla Gillett. Lord dropped a double-double with 28 points and 19 rebounds, while Gillett dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 boards.

Prentice didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 45-35 victory against Bruce on the 20th. Spencer has also already played their next game (against Abbotsford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
