Softball Recap: Sumiton Christian Takes a Loss

Sumiton Christian lost against Hueytown back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Gophers. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sumiton Christian's loss dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Hueytown, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 17-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sumiton Christian will venture away from home to square off against Winston County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Hueytown, they will square off against Bessemer City at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Gophers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 11.2 runs per game this season.
