Volleyball Game Preview: Osceola Kowboys vs. DeLand Bulldogs

The Osceola Kowboys are taking a road trip to challenge the DeLand Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Osceola is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 15 games.

On Monday, Osceola was able to grind out a solid win over West Orange, taking the game 3-1.

Osceola walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 21-25, 25-19, 25-13.

Osceola can attribute much of their success to Dari Bravo, who had 11 digs and two aces, and Delaney Webb, who had four aces and three digs. Webb is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season.

They weren't the only good servers: Osceola was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 14 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, DeLand made easy work of Spruce Creek on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-18.

DeLand now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Osceola, their win bumped their record up to 19-3.

Osceola was able to grind out a solid victory over DeLand in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Kowboys since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
