Softball Recap: Edna Karr Takes a Loss

If Edna Karr was feeling good fresh off their 22-0 takedown of East Jefferson on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars came up short against the St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers on Thursday, falling 13-3.

Jaylnn Recasner was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Al'Layah Jones, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Edna Karr's loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for St. Joseph's Academy, their record now sits at 12-17.

While Edna Karr had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
