Baseball Recap: Algona Comes Up Short

Algona has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They lost 17-9 to the Humboldt Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered against the Wildcats since June 22, 2022.

Algona's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 23-9. As for Humboldt, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-6.

As of now, neither Algona nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
