Softball Game Preview: Humble Wildcats vs. Kingwood Mustangs

Humble is 0-10 against Kingwood since March of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. Humble will welcome Kingwood at 6:30 p.m. Humble has given up an average of 10.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Humble is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They lost 16-1 to Goose Creek Memorial. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Meanwhile, Kingwood faced Summer Creek in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Kingwood won by a run and slipped past Summer Creek 4-3. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Kingwood's victory was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 runs on average over those games. As for Humble, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.
