Basketball Recap: Steelton-Highspire Takes a Loss

Steelton-Highspire lost against Bishop McDevitt back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Steelton-Highspire Steamrollers took a 66-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop McDevitt Crusaders. While losing is never fun, the Steamrollers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 378th, while the Crusaders are ranked 186th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop McDevitt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Hammer, who went 8 for 13 on his way to 18 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadus Byrd, who went 5 of 11 en route to 14 points and six boards.

Steelton-Highspire has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Bishop McDevitt, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Steelton-Highspire has already played their next matchup (against Boiling Springs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bishop McDevitt has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Camp Hill.
