Football Recap: Spalding Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Spalding faced off against Troup County on Thursday. The Jaguars were outmatched by the Tigers and fell 48-14. The Jaguars were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Spalding lost, don't look at Camauri Berry. Despite the final result, he rushed for 61 yards and two scores. Berry showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 59 yards.

Leading Troup County to victory were Javarris Warner and Garrison Edwards. Those 186 rushing yards gave Warner a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Blaize Bell, who picked up 59 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

This is the second loss in a row for Spalding and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for Troup County, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Spalding does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Troup County, they will challenge Sandy Creek at 7:30 p.m. on the 31st. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 31 points in their last five games.
