Soccer Recap: Wilson Memorial Takes a Loss

Wilson Memorial lost against Waynesboro on April 4th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Green Hornets fell just short of the Little Giants by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Wilson Memorial's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Wilson Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for Waynesboro, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilson Memorial will welcome Riverheads at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Wilson Memorial will be up against Riverheads' rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.8 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Waynesboro, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Buffalo Gap at 6:00 p.m. Waynesboro are facing Buffalo Gap at the right time seeing as Buffalo Gap are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
