Softball Recap: Amarillo Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Amarillo can now relate to. They fell just short of the Abilene Eagles by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Sandies couldn't push the score so high this time.

Amarillo's defeat dropped their record down to 21-11-1. As for Abilene, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 21-9-1.

While Amarillo had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
