Baseball Game Preview: Del Oro Suns vs. Foothill Trojans

Del Oro hasn't had much luck against Foothill recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Suns will welcome the Trojans at 4:00 p.m.

Del Oro fell victim to Arvin and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Bears.

Meanwhile, Foothill had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Vikings.

Ramon Diaz made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Foothill let Conrado Machuca and Joezeph Camberos run wild. Machuca went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple, while Camberos went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Camberos a new career-high.

Foothill's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Del Oro, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-18.

Del Oro might still be hurting after the 17-5 loss they got from Foothill in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Suns avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
