Basketball Recap: Excel Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Excel Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt an 85-19 defeat at the hands of the Saltillo Lions. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Excel Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Saltillo, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Excel Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Christian Home Educators at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Saltillo, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-28 win against Sulphur Bluff on the 14th.
