Softball Recap: Sweet Home Takes a Loss

Sweet Home extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 1-9 in the process. They fell 12-9 to the Starpoint Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-4 back in April.

As for Starpoint, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games.

For Starpoint's part, the team relied heavily on Morgan Neal, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave Neal a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Prezioso, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

As of now, neither Sweet Home nor Starpoint have any future games scheduled.
