Basketball Game Preview: Sergeant Bluff-Luton Warriors vs. Storm Lake Tornadoes

The Sergeant Bluff-Luton Warriors will square off against the Storm Lake Tornadoes on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sergeant Bluff-Luton comes in on five and Storm Lake on nine.

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Sergeant Bluff-Luton and Bishop Heelan Catholic had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Warriors walked away with a 54-47 win over the Crusaders on Thursday.

Algona typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Storm Lake proved too difficult a challenge. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bulldogs 82-36. The Tornadoes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 games by 20 points or more this season.

Storm Lake's victory bumped their record up to 22-2. As for Sergeant Bluff-Luton, their win bumped their record up to 18-6.

Sergeant Bluff-Luton didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Storm Lake in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 68-64 victory. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Tornadoes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
