Basketball Recap: Wilson Central Wildcats vs. Grace Christian Academy Rams
Wilson Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 64-53 to the Grace Christian Academy Rams.
Brooklyn Evert and Brylee Fly certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Evert went 5 for 11 en route to 15 points plus six rebounds, while Fly went 5 for 11 en route to 13 points plus two steals. What's more, Evert also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Kylie Moss, who posted five points along with three steals.
Wilson Central now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Grace Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilson Central will venture away from home to take on White County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. White County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 197 points over their last three matchups. As for Grace Christian Academy, they will take on McMinn Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. McMinn Central will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Grace Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
