Bigfork had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 23-run drubbing they dealt Browning on Thursday. The Vikings & Valkyries' pitcher stepped up to hand the Indians a 23-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Vikings & Valkyries, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Sam Plummer was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and six RBI. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Hayden Mayer, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI.

Bigfork was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Bigfork pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Browning, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
