Football Recap: Christ Covenant vs. Hebron Christian Eagles
Christ Covenant had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Hebron Christian Eagles on Friday as Christ Covenant made off with a 48-28 victory.
Davis Foster and Levi Cantrell certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Foster rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, while Cantrell gained 76 total yards and two touchdowns. Foster also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble and making 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Hebron Christian's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.
Christ Covenant will be defending their home-field for the first time this season they go up against Heritage Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hebron Christian, they will face off against Discovery Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
