Football Recap: Marion County Falls to Sulligent in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Marion County had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 22-14 to the Sulligent Blue Devils on Friday. The Red Raiders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Blue Devils from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Despite the loss, Marion County had strong showings from Ty Hollis, who rushed for 88 yards and one score on only 11 carries, and Samuel Taylor, who rushed for 52 yards and one TD.

Marion County has already played their next game, a 43-0 win against Phillips on the 29th. As for Sulligent, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 43-6 defeat against Winfield on the 29th.
