Basketball Recap: Gateway Christian Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Gateway Christian Eagles were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 44-43 to the Austin Classical Mustangs.

Gateway Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Austin Classical, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Gateway Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on First Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 24, 2025. As for Austin Classical, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Heritage Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
