It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Costa Mesa had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They skirted past the San Juan Hills Stallions 5-4. The win was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Mateo Navarro was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one triple.

Costa Mesa's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for San Juan Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 15-14.

Looking ahead, Costa Mesa will face off against Glendora at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Tartans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. San Juan Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
