Basketball Recap: Pineville Comes Up Short

Pineville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were outmatched by the Alexandria Trojans and fell 69-25. The Rebels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-6.

Tyshawn Duncan was nothing short of spectacular for Alexandria: he went 7 of 10 on his way to 17 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarvell Bordelon, who went 7 for 9 en route to 15 points.

Pineville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Alexandria, they pushed their record up to 24-6 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Pineville has already played their next game (against Byrd), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Alexandria will take on Ruston at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
