Lighthouse Christian was handed a 42-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by St. Mary's Academy 7-6.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Diamond's offense. They were beaten by Marionville 63-0 on Friday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Comets recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Diamond's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lighthouse Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
