Softball Recap: Rantoul Takes a Loss

Rantoul lost against Mahomet-Seymour back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles lost 14-8 to the Bulldogs. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aubrey Cann was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Airiana Bell, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Rantoul's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Mahomet-Seymour, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5.

Coming up, Rantoul will face off against St. Joseph-Ogden at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mahomet-Seymour, they will welcome Normal West at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
