Volleyball Recap: Southern Alamance Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Southern Alamance was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Cummings on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots lost 3-0 to the Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

While Southern Alamance was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Uwharrie Charter Academy's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-12, 25-17.

Southern Alamance has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern Alamance will square off against Western Alamance at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, they will challenge Eastern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
