Basketball Recap: Temple Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Vinalhaven last Saturday, Temple Academy came back down to earth. The Temple Academy Bereans were outmatched by the Valley Cavaliers and fell 81-26. The defeat continues a trend for the Bereans in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now lost six in a row.

Temple Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Valley, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Temple Academy will welcome Islesboro Central at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Forest Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Forest Hills likes a good challenge.
