Volleyball Recap: Isle of Wight Academy Comes Up Short

Isle of Wight Academy lost against Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chargers lost 3-0 to the Patriots.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21, 25-13.

Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association can attribute much of their success to Emma Smith, who had four digs and three aces. What's more, Smith racked up 14 assists, the most she's had over her last eight contests.

Isle of Wight Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-3 record this season.

Isle of Wight Academy will square off against Southampton Academy at 6:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against St. Catherine's on the 9th.
