Fort Bend Dulles snaps three-game streak of wins on the road

The Fort Bend Dulles Vikings suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 100-25 loss at the hands of Fort Bend Austin. Fort Bend Dulles has struggled against Fort Bend Austin recently, as their game on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Sai sai Stewart was Fort Bend Dulles' leading scorer, having posted ten points. Nevaeh White held things down on the boards with ten rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Fort Bend Austin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shun?teria Anumele out in front who scored 32 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Andrea Sturdivant, who scored 27 points along with six steals and five rebounds.

Fort Bend Dulles' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-15. As for Fort Bend Austin, the victory was the 20th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Bend Dulles will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Fort Bend Travis at 1:00 p.m. on January 13th. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Mackenzie Teuton and Callie Goodly. As for Fort Bend Austin, they will head out on the road to challenge George Ranch at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. George Ranch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1110th, while Fort Bend Austin is ranked 38th).
