Volleyball Recap: Saluda Takes a Loss

Saluda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Batesburg-Leesville Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 23-25, 25-18.

Batesburg-Leesville can attribute much of their success to McKenzie Dozier, who had ten digs and two aces. That's the most aces Dozier has posted since back in August.

Saluda's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Batesburg-Leesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-17-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Saluda is set to challenge their familiar foe Ninety Six at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Batesburg-Leesville will take on rival Strom Thurmond at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
