Basketball Recap: Wyatt Kirch Key Part of a Team Effort in Rams Win

Rampart saw some tournament action on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Steamboat Springs Sailors 59-57.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rampart to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wyatt Kirch, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Theodore Wilson, who posted 15 points.

Rampart now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Steamboat Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Rampart didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-58 defeat against Mesa Ridge on the 17th. Steamboat Springs will take on Centaurus in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Centaurus is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.2 points per game this season.
