Baseball Recap: Gulf Takes a Loss

If Gulf was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Fivay last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Buccaneers came up short against the Seminole Warhawks on Thursday, falling 8-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buccaneers of the 20-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Gulf saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diego Cruz, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Gulf has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Seminole, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-6.

Coming up, Gulf is taking a road trip to challenge Gibbs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seminole does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
