Soccer Recap: Edgewater Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Edgewater and Oviedo squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Edgewater had to settle for second. They came up short against the Oviedo Lions, falling 4-1. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Edgewater now has a losing record at 8-9-2. As for Oviedo, their win bumped their record up to 11-3-3.

Edgewater does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oviedo, they will square off against Winter Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Winter Springs will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Oviedo surely won't give up without a fight.
